MANGO ICE-CREAM RECIPE

Here’s a concise recipe for mango ice cream:

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups ripe Afzal mangoes, peeled and diced
  2. 1 cup heavy cream
  3. 1 cup whole milk
  4. 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the diced mango until smooth.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mango puree, heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  4. Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  5. Once frozen, scoop the mango ice cream into bowls or cones and enjoy!

Note: If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze it. Stir the mixture every 30 minutes until it reaches the desired consistency.

MANGO LASSI

DESCRIPTION:

This is a highly refreshing and creamy beverage, ideal to consume at sehri and iftari both, as it helps prevent dehydration and headaches and instantly gives us energy and vitality.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 large Afzal mango, chopped
  • 1 cup plain (unsweetened) yoghourt
  • ¼ cup water or milk
  • A pinch of cardamom powder
  • Brown sugar/honey (according to taste)
  • 1 tbsp chopped dry fruits for garnishing (optional)

Directions:

  • Peel Afzal mango and chop it into pieces.
  • Add chopped mango, yoghourt and water/milk into a blender
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, and then add sugar and cardamom powder.
  • Blend it for a minute. Pour it into glasses. Garnish with dry fruits. Serve chilled.

MANGO BANANA SMOOTHIE

DESCRIPTION:

The mango banana smoothie is a “super trouper” blend of two power fruits that are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals needed for maintaining good health. It is a win-win combination (unless of course you are diabetic).
