Yes. The mangoes delivered will be raw (unripe) or semi-ripe, depending on the stage of the season and the delivery location.
At the beginning of the season, mangoes are typically harvested fully unripe and firm — ideal for pickles, chutneys, and salads. As the season progresses, some batches may be semi-ripe to ensure they reach you in optimal condition without over-ripening during transit.
We carefully consider the distance and delivery time before dispatching your order. For nearby locations, mangoes may be slightly more mature, while for longer routes, they are dispatched firmer to maintain freshness upon arrival.
Rest assured, they are never artificially pre-ripened or softened before shipping.
Absolutely. Afzal Mangoes highlights that their products are carbide-free and chemical-free, meaning no artificial or harmful methods are used for ripening. All mangoes are naturally matured to deliver authentic taste and texture. In addition to this, clear ripening instructions are mentioned on the box to help you achieve perfect natural ripening at home.
Ripening Instructions:
Our mangoes are sent unripe without the use of any chemicals.
Our mangoes naturally ripen.
Store in a warm, dry place. You may use a cloth to cover the mangoes. Do not refrigerate.
Open the box by the recommended ‘open by’ date.
Please note: Mangoes take longer to ripen due to change in conditions.
To check if the mangoes are ripe and ready to eat look for the following signs:
3.1) They turn yellow (not a necessity of turning full yellow or yellow tinged mangoes may well be fully ripened)
3.2) Skin slightly softens and yields under gentle pressure
3.3) A distinct mango smell can be smelt
If not, put them back in their packaging and continue storing in a warm, dry, dark place. Ripe mangoes can, however, be kept in the refrigerator. Wash before eating and enjoy!

We intentionally do not print a fixed “open by” date on our boxes. The reason is clear that mango ripening depends heavily on temperature and environmental conditions, which vary from city to city and even from home to home.
In the past, some customers opened their boxes exactly on the mentioned date and found the mangoes over-ripened or spoiled. This happens because weather conditions are not the same everywhere, and mangoes may ripen faster or slower depending on heat, humidity, and storage conditions.
To avoid this risk, we do not mention a fixed open date. Instead, we provide clear ripening instructions on the box to help you monitor the natural ripening process properly.
Additionally, our support team actively guides customers reminding them about storage, ripening signs, and the ideal time to open the box based on their location and delivery timing ensuring you enjoy your mangoes at the perfect stage of ripeness.
The size and weight of mangoes vary depending on the variety, as each type of mango naturally grows to a different size. However, we carefully select and pack mangoes that represent the ideal and premium size for that specific variety.
Unlike the commonly mixed sizes often available in the open market, our boxes are curated to include well-graded mangoes with consistent quality and desirable size. This ensures you receive mangoes that reflect the true premium standard of each variety.
Our mangoes are packed in fixed-weight boxes such as (2 +/- 0.5) kg or (4 +/- 0.5) kg, with each box containing mangoes that are properly sorted to maintain uniformity and quality.

Yes, We deliver all across Pakistan. Delivery details and cost estimates are provided during checkout based on the destination postal code.
The delivery estimate is provided at checkout. Typical delivery times vary depending on the location, same-city deliveries are usually faster, while out-of-city deliveries may take around 3–5 days depending on logistics and transit routes.
To ensure the mangoes reach you in the best condition, we carefully dispatch them unripe or semi-ripe depending on the delivery location and transit time. This helps make sure that when the mangoes arrive, they are fresh and ready to ripen naturally, rather than being over-ripened during transport.
We always dispatch mangoes with this in mind, so that you receive fresh, high-quality fruit that can ripen perfectly at your home.
We use durable corrugated boxes to pack our mangoes, ensuring they remain protected during transit. The packaging is designed carefully to keep the fruit safe from damage.
Our packing is also done in a way that preserves the presentation of the box, so if you are sending mangoes as a gift, the packaging remains neat and attractive upon delivery. This ensures that the mangoes not only arrive fresh and in good condition but also retain their beauty and presentation for gifting purposes.
For orders within Karachi, the delivery charge covers local transportation. However, for orders outside Karachi, we rely on courier services to safely transport the mangoes. Since mangoes are perishable items, they require careful packaging, handling, and faster logistics to maintain freshness during transit. The additional delivery charge for outside Karachi orders helps cover courier fees, special handling, and protective packaging to ensure your mangoes reach you in the best possible condition.
Our mangoes are delivered unripe and without the use of any chemicals, allowing them to ripen naturally at home. To ripen them properly, store in a warm, dry place. You may use a cloth to cover the mangoes. Do not refrigerate. Open the box by the recommended ‘open by’ date.

A mango does not always need to turn fully yellow to be ripe. If the mango feels slightly soft when gently pressed and has a sweet mango aroma, it is likely ripe and ready to eat even if the skin is still green or only slightly yellow. Color alone is not always the best indicator of ripeness.
In this situation, you can take one mango out and try it first. If it tastes sweet and fully ripened even without a color change, you can check the other mangoes as well. Due to weather conditions and natural variations between mangoes, it is not always necessary for mangoes to change from green to yellow when they ripen.
Therefore, do not rely only on color instead check the softness, aroma, and taste to determine ripeness.
It is very rare for mangoes to arrive in rotten condition, as we carefully select and pack every box before dispatch. However, if this happens, please share proof of your order placement along with clear images of the mango box and the rotten mangoes with our support team.
Once the issue is verified, we will dispatch a replacement box of mangoes for you. Please note that we may not always be able to guarantee the same variety, as it may have gone out of stock by that time. In such cases, the replacement box may contain another available variety of mangoes.
Rest assured, situations like this are very rare, and we always strive to ensure you receive fresh, high-quality mangoes.
